Happy New Year to you! I just love new things, don't you? A new sunrise, or a new bouquet of flowers. New beginnings. New self! I am reminded of God's promise in Revelation 21, "And He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' And He said, 'Write, for these words are faithful and true.' (v. 5). Perhaps our new things are shadows of God making all things new in the end.

This month at MOPS, Laura Tapia will share with us about organization from the inside out. What a great topic to kick off our new year!  We will be making a photo/message board or a clip organizer for that pile of bows.  You will be asked to bring ½ yard of a fabric of your choice and some ribbon for this project. Registration is still open! The cost for MOPS is $30 for the year, and your first meeting is free. So bring a friend or two and be encouraged by a very real and welcoming group of moms.

Our field trip this month is to San Dimas Canyon Park, 1628 N. Sycamore Canyon Rd. San Dimas, CA 91773. They have a fairly new playground, swings, sand area, and a nature center. Feel free to pack a lunch or some snacks. We went here last year as a group and it was super fun!
