Sawdust Factory

Thursday, November 15th at 10am.

We will be making wood projects such as picture frames, yard signs, wreaths, Christmas ornaments etc. Some of the projects require your child's hand print. Children are welcome to come and we can trace their hand print there. If you prefer to come alone and you want to create something with your child's hand print, simply trace their prints at home on a plane sheet of white paper and bring it with you.

We will have an hour and a half to create and we will leave with a finished project

And don't worry if you're not crafty, the staff will help you make a beautiful creation. These projects are great for seasonal decorations and/gifts for the holidays.

$9-26 per project. You can go online and see some examples of the types of projects available.

We hope to see you there!

Please RSVP by November 10th to Kimberlee Mendoza (714) 269-4070.

What is MOPS?

By Vanessa Gallego

MOPS is a community of moms that recognize the unique joys, needs and challenges of mothering, and whose purpose is to remind moms that they are not alone!

Here at Cornerstone, our MOPS leadership team has been led by the desire to create a moment in our busy lives to pause, reflect, regroup, connect and encourage one another.  With the long list of daily to do’s it is so easy to put ourselves at the bottom.  But when we take time to fill up, we will have more to give to the people that matter most.

Our MOPS group meets once a month on the 2nd Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am in the Cornerstone Sanctuary. Our group is for moms with kids of all ages and stages and you are welcome to come no matter what age your kids are.  We offer childcare for 0-5 years.

So come!  be encouraged, get inspired, make connections and celebrate this journey of motherhood together!

Here is a sneak peak of our upcoming meetings:

November 8th    Carolyn Carney speaks about “A Table Prepared” our craft is a personalized trivet

December 13th   Linda Wiltsey shares her testimony and lots of great holiday traditions, ideas and samples to keep the holidays simple and fun. She will be demonstrating her famous Baklava recipe and everyone will come home with a fancy carmel apple (an excellent gift idea for teachers, coaches, neighbors…)  Everyone will make one apple for free, but if you would like to make more than one for extra gifts, we will be providing extra apples and supplies for $3.00 per apple.

January 10th        Laura Tapia will be speaking about “ Organization from the inside out” and we will be making a photo/message board or a clip organizer for that pile of bows.  You will be asked to bring ½ yard of a fabric of your choice and some ribbon for this project.

February 14th     Is all about LOVE! Our speaker, Jane Delahook is speaking about romance in marriage and our craft is a beautiful paper cone to be filled with flowers, delectable treats, or anything else to delight the loves in your life.
